Overview

The Protective Security Coordination Centre (PSCC), a Division of the Attorney-General's Department, is hosting the 19th Security in Government (SIG) Conference, to be held in Canberra's National Convention Centre from 9 to 11 May 2006. The PSCC has wide-ranging protective security responsibilities for:

SIG 2006 aims to expand the range of issues addressed by the conference to include protective security, counter-terrorism and the impact of the current security environment on the Australian community.  The conference will include an array of Australian and international speakers, plus a number of panel discussions.  The conference and trade exhibition will also highlight the latest developments in policy and technology in the protective security environment.

the SIG Secretariat.

SIG continues to be the largest conference of its type in Australia with delegates including agency security advisers from many Australian Government agencies. The SIG 2006 theme; "Security and the Australian community" aims to expand representation across all levels of government as well as the private sector and include program highlights; and program summary.  The conference and trade exhibition will highlight the latest developments in policy and technology in the protective security environment.

Your attendance at SIG 2006 will enable you to engage with public and private sector security experts from a range of fields. The SIG 2006 trade exhibition will provide you with the opportunity to meet over 80 security related service providers who work closely with government and the private sector to provide innovative solutions to security problems. Conference Papers

Conference papers will become available throughout the duration of SIG 2006.  Please visit this site from 9 May 2006 for the papers.  Please note not all speakers will provide transcripts.

SES Breakfast

The Attorney-General's Department invites you to attend the Security in Government Conference 2006 SES Breakfast to be held on Monday 1 May at the National Museum of Australia.
