Indigenous justice and legal assistance

The Indigenous Justice and Legal Assistance Division is responsible for the development, implementation and administration of Australian Government legal assistance policy and programs. The Division is also responsible for the administration of various law and justice programs to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, along with the provision of strategic policy advice on Indigenous law and justice issues.
