The Criminal Law Branch supports the Minister for Home Affairs in undertaking consultations on a range of law reform and policy initiatives on matters within the Branch’s responsibilities.  Links to current and recent proposals that are the subject of public consultation are set out below.

  • Draft Model Spent Convictions Bill

On 6 November 2008, the Standing Committee of Attorneys-General released the draft Model Spent Convictions Bill and consultation paper on the Model Bill.
